Do Cheap, Luxurious Cars Exist? Hint: Yes They Do!

If you live on a small budget, certain sacrifices are necessary. One of the most obvious is to trade in a car and downgrade. The idea is never appealing, but it saves a lot of money and frees up the coffers. Of course, there is always a nagging feeling in the back of your mind when you do make the switch. A thought such as “this car is nowhere near as good as the last one” will make you long for a luxury motor once more.  Well, the good news is that it is possible to buy a cheap vehicle that is of a high-quality.

Here’s what you need to know.

Be Realistic

When you see the word luxury, a Porsche 911 or a Bugatti Veyron will pop into your head. Get them out as fast as possible. Unless you are the luckiest person alive, these cars won’t be available at an affordable price. Because of their reputation, they will cost a pretty penny. So, the trick is to focus on the right makes and models. For instance, Jaguar is a manufacturer with a reputation for producing great cars. And, with Cars and Co new Jaguar deals, there is no reason to spend a fortune. Just imagine rolling around town in a James Bond-style car. There is nothing more luxurious!

Try Every Avenue

The first port of call is the internet. Over the years, we are conditioned to believe that the Web is the only place to find a bargain. Although online dealers do have bargains, your research shouldn’t stop online. By all means, start there but make sure you check out every nook and cranny before coming to a decision. For example, car auctions are an excellent place to bag a bargain. Usually, the cars are old, but there are repossessed ones and people looking to sell as quickly as possible. Also, don’t rule out eBay or private sellers on the side of the road.

Go Second-Hand

Finding a new car at an affordable price is never easy. Thankfully, the used automotive industry is getting better and better with every passing year. A decade ago, buying a second-hand motor was a risk only the desperate would take. Nowadays, more than 7 million get sold and the sector increases by around 3% on average. Clearly, there are excellent deals available if you are willing to look. Try using a dealer you trust because the majority have a second-hand section.

Don’t Pay Upfront

Too many options exist to pay for a vehicle up front in 2017. Plus, it reduces your options as you must-have the money in your pocket. Usually, the average person isn’t cash rich. However, they do have an income which replenishes at the beginning of every month. This should boost your budget, which makes paying for monthly a great option. Even renting is a viable option if you can afford the lease. You might pay more in the long run, but you don’t have the money now, so it makes sense.

Hopefully, this advice means you will never have to downgrade again.
