Leadership Roles

Leadership roles have to be the most empowering career there is. You have the role of taking charge of a team, and for once, people are looking up to you rather than down. It isn’t as hard to get into this role as you may think either. Most of the time you can progress through your own company to get to a higher level. But if you want to be a cut above the rest, you could try going down the route of education to get higher. For example, you can get an online BS in Organizational Leadership. There’s no need to leave your job, the course is short, and before you know it you could be the one applying for the leadership roles you’ve always dreamed of. But don’t be fooled, it isn’t an easy job to handle. There’s a lot of pressure to perform, and the pressure of having a wholes team progress weigh on your shoulders is a lot. But, this is what makes it so empowering. Knowing that you’re the guidance people need. You’re also more of your own boss when you get up to leadership level, which is what makes the role so attractive to different people.

Nursing

Nursing is not only empowering, but one of the most rewarding career paths you can take. What makes it so empowering is knowing people are relying on you to give them the best level of care possible. You feel like you have a sense of purpose in the world that no other job can really give you. Not only will your patients be relying on you, but so will your co workers. It isn’t like your usual office job, you’re one close knit team that relies on communication and a bond like no other to get through the day. You’re obviously going to see things that you wouldn’t usually see in other jobs, and be faced with so many different challenging situations. So relying on your coworkers to help you through them is something you’ll find happening on a daily basis. The pay is good as well, and there’s plenty of room for progression which can lead to more money.
Motivational Speaking

This is probably a career path that not a lot of people have thought of. But if you have a story to tell, and a reason to inspire people, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t consider this as a career path. It is hard to get into, and you really do need to be an inspiring person to make t in this area. A lot of people start by going round schools and doing smaller jobs. But as your story and reputation grows, so will your offerings. It might not be the best money in the beginning, but it is the truly empowering feeling of knowing you’ve motivated people to do different with your life. Just like with the leadership role, people will turn to you for help and guidance, but in a slightly different way.

Teacher

Finally, we’ll end with teaching. This is empowering, again, because people are looking up to you. You have the power to change lives, and put people on the right path when they might be going astray. Becoming a teacher really isn’t easy, but the reward more than makes up for it. You’ll go through a lot of troublesome times, and no doubt have a few sleepless nights marking and planning. But what you will get out of it is classes full of people looking up to you, ready to be filled with the knowledge that you can give them. There is room for progression, and the pay really isn’t bad either.
